Spring Semester began April 9th and our classes are now full so we are no longer accepting registrations for the Spring Semester.
Music Together's songs, rhythms, chants, dances, and instrument jams expose your child to a wide variety of musical styles, rhythms, subject matter, and languages.
Instruments and props include: bells, eggz shakers, drums, balls, scarves, rhythm sticks, and more!
We nurture children's natural enthusiasm for music, movement and make-believe as we sing, dance, chant and play a variety of instruments in an encouraging, positive setting each week.
The range of minor, major, aeolian, and dorian melodies, as well as the varying rhythms of Music Together songs help make for some sophisticated listening that will interest and inspire both you and your child!
The Music Together program develops your child's basic rhythmic and tonal competence, all while having a great time and fostering the bond between the parent/caregiver and child. Come have fun with us!
- In Music Together, we celebrate the fact that all children are born with the capacity to be musical! You can nurture the musical growth of your child, regardless of your own musical ability.
- Come experience a class that fosters fun and creativity, as well as social and musical learning in a pressure-free environment!
- Music Together is appropriate for all children, infants to five years old. We therefore encourage parents to enroll children withautism/special needsas this is one environment where they can just let go, be free, and express themselves musically.
- Without mastering the basics of rhythm and melody, an older child will struggle when trying to learn a new instrument. Give your child the chance to experience music for the pure fun and joy of it, and with that, the opportunity to go further if he/she chooses!
ABOUT OUR CLASSES:
We offer weekly 45-minute weekly classes for ten weeks in a row. Together we explore music through songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement and instrument "play-along".
MIXED-AGE CLASSES (0 to 5 years):
Educators have long considered mixed-age groupings to foster beneficial learning skills. Our activities focus on adult/child interaction, where the adult is the musical role model for their child.
This mixed age class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning.Activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child interaction, so children of different ages can enjoy class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, observing, and exploring musical instruments.
